2019 CONSCIENCE

January 31st, 2019: Upper School students gathered to present their summer work at the sixth annual Ransom Everglades Internship Forum. Projects ranged from lab work at University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine to teaching internships through Breakthrough Miami to using February 17th, 2019: RE’s Upper School Transformers Team, represented by Daniella Sanchez ‘21 and Jonah Bennett ‘21 , won the Sportsmanship Award at a VEX Robotics Competition at Archbishop Edward A. McCarthy High School. Another team comprised of Max Swietelsky ‘21 , Jordan Hoffman ‘21 and James Srebnick ‘21 participated in the design competition under sponsor Robert DuBard. art for social justice at Locust Art Projects. March 5th, 2019: Engineering and physics students faced off at the annual bridge-breaking competition and assembly. Made from balsa wood sticks, students had to subscribe to international rules for dimensions and weight. Mike Hannan’19 won the competition with 1,119.8 efficiency, followed by Joseph Kodsi ‘20 with an efficiency of 1073.5, and Jennifer Lin ‘20 with an efficiency of 1070.7.
