2018-2019 REview A retrospective of science at Ransom Everglades By Sofia Andrade October 24th, 2018: World renowned physicist and director of Columbia’s Center for Theoretical Physics, Dr. Brian Greene, visited RE to give a talk on Einstein’s Theory of Relativity. Focusing on the intersection of science and the humanities, he engaged scientific ideas from both a scientific and human perspective, presenting the theory through history, “the human drama of discovery,” fiction, and hard science. December 3rd, 2018: An all-freshmen robotics team comprised of Max Vallone ‘22 , Dashiell DeStefano ‘22 , Isabella Camacho ‘22 , Andre Joseph ‘22 and Cecilia Granda- Scott ‘22 won 10 consecutive matches at the VEX Robotics Competition at Westminster Christian School, making them undefeated and the winners of the tournament.
