Little Inklings 2025
Summer laughters fill the air As the sun shines a gleamy glare Days will be at their very longest The sun’s rays shine at their very strongest Fall turns the planet a rare and rosy red It blankets the Earth like a cozy bed Once the leaves get oh so deep The Earth will finally go to sleep After being blanketed in Autumn’s thrall The Earth drifts to sleep beneath winter’s pall The frigid weather keeps The Earth asleep No sounds around not even a peep The spring season is like the Earth’s revival Emerging from the snow are the plants’ arrivals As the spring approaches summertime The whole cycle restarts its climb UNTITLED By Vincent Julian ’30 86
