The blossom sprouts its colors anew Though some would prefer the color blue Two paths: one beaten and one clean where no blossoms have grown Yet you don’t want to go with the flow Which one would you go The first blossom afoot the path It could lead to this or that You know because you’re different That some others will be defiant People get tough Because your bark is too rough Your flowers wilt in the summer sun You are just wishing you could have some fun But that’s not allowed because you’re different You know that to succeed You need to find the seed The seed that will help you grow To overcome the hatred flow You’ll find that you are lucky to be who you are To find answers you won’t have to look afar Soon another blossomwill sprout its colors anew Some might still prefer the color blue THE CHERRY BLOSSOM By: Shaan Tak ’29 82
