Little Inklings 2023

33 I step out, all alone in the night I look up and see a shining so bright I travel away from the roads and the honks of cars I look up and see a sky full of stars The sun smiles at me throughout the day Feeling the cold water, then swimming in the bay Our knees have been scraped and will turn into scars, No longer bothering to look up at the sky full of stars And when clouds sweep the sky turning everything gray And none of the old kids want to play I find myself looking for Saturn and Mars But there is no longer a sky full of stars STARS By: Henry Greengrass ’28
