Little Inklings 2022
They start as buds And as the rain pours down, you can see the first petals fluttering like the butterflies As they are showered by the droplets the heads of the flowers begin to rise And they no longer look deprived Instead they begin to thrive Though they began to thrive, they knew they would soon be dry Now they are left with nothing but memories of that first dew Soon the drought will come their way, and spring will be out on its way Now that the days of dew have passed The sun is the flower’s new guest, here to stay As now the sun is here to stay They feel it day and day Deprived of dew and breeze their life will soon become a memory They feel themselves wilting away in seek of one last rainy day The sun has made them fade away They started as buds and now have wilted away THEY START AS BUDS JADE DENNIS ❜ 27 34
