She was able to see again! She was jumping for joy and thanked the old lady profusely. She had done something she had always wanted to do ever since she was blinded. Make a language for blind people! She ran up a mountain and caught two big clouds with a net. She spent a day shaping all the perfect shapes with the clouds to create a language with the clouds she got. She created Braille. She then took the book she had been given and translated it and put it in her satchel along with the alphabet she had made. She wanted to show Medusa. She ran into the Parthenon gushing with excitement. She screamed for Medusa and since she was so excited she didn’t even notice her satchel fall off. Stupid with love is the perfect saying for this occasion. She had somehow forgotten the most important rule of Medusa to never look her in the eye. When Medusa came in she locked eyes with her. Time felt like it had completely slowed down. The moment Braillete said “I can see!” is the moment she felt her legs start to tense up. She looked down and saw stone. Her whole body was turning into it. She screamed “I love you Medusa” and told Medusa to look in the satchel. By the time Medusa could say it back she was fully turned into stone. Overcome with emotion Medusa sat down and cried and opened Braillete’s satchel. She knew that she had to share this so, at the middle of the night when it was the darkest of night she sneaked into the town with a scarf on her head and put Brailletes work all over the town. When she got home she didn’t know what to do with herself. She grabbed a mirror and took her scarf off. Love can make you do crazy things. As she slowly held the mirror up to her face she wondered if this was the best option. But by the time the mirror was up the deed was done. 31
