BLIND DATE Later that evening when she came back to the Parthenon she smelled the most magnificent scents she smelled in a while. As they wined and dined for what felt like ages it felt like time stopped for a second. Suddenly, Braillete said “Thank you for the dinner it’s actually going to be my birthday tomorrow.” Medusa gasped and said “Great! You should spend the night here, so that you don’t have to go out at this late hour!” Braillete smiled and said “I’d love that.” As Braillete slowly started to fall asleep she said “What’s that odd pitter-patter?” Medusa repliped “That’s just the rain, do you like the rain?” Braillete replied with “Getting wet no, the sound it makes oh yes” and dozed off to sleep. Medusa thought that since it’s her birthday she should get Braillete a present. She chose a book off the walls though it’d be the perfect gift. Reading used to be her favorite thing to do in the whole world, but she stopped doing it after a while, so she had plenty of spare books to offer. When she gave the gift to her. Braillete felt flustered and honestly insulted. Had she honestly forgotten that quickly about her blindness. She said “Thanks, but I don’t think I’ll be reading it soon.” She tried excusing herself and went on a walk to clear her mind. Suddenly, she bumped into a man who had a familiar scent. It was her ex boyfriend Loki. He said “Is that you Braillete?” She replied with nothing. She was hurt. She was devastated. How could somebody who had ruined her whole life pretend like everything was peach and dandy after destroying her life and then leave without a trace. She replied with a stern “Why did you do that.” He smiled. “I was just trying to help you Braillete, seriously. If I didn’t blind you they would’ve taken you away and stolen your eyes to use for their own greed.” He was smiling wide while he spewed his lies. He knew for a fact that she would believe him.
