Little Inklings 2022
There once was a goddess named Amara, and she was the goddess of plants and all things green. Amara was very passionate about keeping plants safe and made sure no one ever harmed them. Amara was created by the sun and the ocean, and was born out of the grass. The minute she was born, plants started appearing all around the ground after her. Amara was always a very happy, loving goddess and always radiated positive energy to anything around her. She was the most loved goddess in all of India since the day she appeared. But before Amara had even existed, another goddess named Parvati, the goddess of devotion, was the most popular. Every god and goddess looked up to Parvati. Her popularity stayed the same until Amara was born. Suddenly, India’s gods and goddesses turned their attention to Amara. Her presence made everyone happy, and people enjoyed being around her. Parvati heard about Amara and decided she would try to befriend her. Parvati approached Amara by gifting her the most beautiful iridescent colored bird that made chocolate when it chirped. Amara was very thankful for this gift and started to befriend Parvati. Little did she know that receiving this token of gratitude was all part of Parvati's plan to gain her popularity. Amara and Parvati started to talk and realized they had the same interests. They quickly became inseparable. Amara and Parvati would go out in the towns of India and the other gods and goddesses would see them together. Since everyone was around Amara, people started to gather around Parvati, too. Parvati’s plan was working. She soon gained her popularity and people turned their attention to her. Parvati had some friends that she would talk to when she wasn’t with Amara. One of Amara’s friends overheard Parvati talking to her friend about faking being Amara’s friend, and she was shocked. THE LEGEND OF THE FIRST FLOWER CRISTINA LUCA ❜ 28 26
