TIMELESS Briana Girala ’23 Time has been a fleeting experience, Veering slowly away these past few years, Situations far and few in between, Brought no peace in my life set on the scene. Time turning and clocks winding, just waiting, Watching life play out in endless circles, This cycle feels dim from the point of view, Observing what I recall to be true. When will time stop slipping from my very hands? Waiting for the moment when it just clicks, The moment when I understand and know What it means to be in the moment and grow. Lost in control over the fleeting past, Concentrating on the future I’ll never bear, Facing worries of dark being cast, Anxieties suddenly become aware. Time, need it to survive, need it to thrive. 19
