She roams the streets of her suburban town, Wearing a disgusted, imperious frown. For an essential worker or shop employee Has just violated her God-given right to be free! Her curt little bob of bleached blond hair Is her trademark feature at which people stare In awe, of course, of her features so clean, Her pale face exposed, mask nowhere to be seen. She dons a tank top, charming quote written across Along the lines of “I’m not bossy, I am the boss!” As she moseys on down to her next local store, She prepares for her second little uproar. For inevitably a worker of minimum wage Will somehow throw her into a rage. By perhaps stating that her item is out of stock, Or that face masks are required, to her angry shock. She will then exclaim, with an alarming noise, “I’m not a sheep! IT’S MY BODY, MY CHOICE!!” And with this there will certainly come a spew Of spit and germs at this unlucky few That decided to try and protect other customers Who are simply seeking to buy more sanitizers. Immediately she’ll demand to speak with a supervi- sor, Knowing that he will be infinitely wiser. Her superiority to others is thoroughly clear. Every person must bow down when she is near. A certain special exception, is she, To the rules of basic human decency. Karen Natasha Do Valle 43
