SPRING 2022 Ransom Everglades LOG 63 Rosie Prohias Driscoll , see Class of 1986 Jerry Exum was featured as part of our faculty emeriti series in the December 2021 Alumni News (electronic newslet- ter). Over 26 years of service at RE, he served in various positions: mathematics department chair, mathematics teacher, 11th-grade coordinator and interim dean of students. At 86, Jerry lives in Miami with Christel Marin. His hobbies include gardening and ballroom dancing. Jerry is still an avid mathematician, and he and Christel listen to a variety of fascinating lectures on The Great Courses , which provides them much entertainment. As for the kids, Jerry’s eldest daughter, Belinda, lives in Illinois and his son, Joe ’80 , lives outside of Los Angeles, Calif. See photo below. Head of School Penny Townsend had the pleasure of visiting with former Head of School John Cotton in Maine this past summer. George Kasyan was also featured in the October 2021 Alumni News. (See photo below) He wrote, “I always appreciated that the faculty and staff functioned as a family at RE. There was a genuine ca- maraderie that went beyond department borderlines and went into true lifelong friendships. I was privileged to work with many wonderful colleagues, who con- tinue as lifelong friends. To name a few, Don Kappelman, Ginny Onorati, Barbara Lester, Jackie Collaso, Patricia Aguilar, Linda Duarte and John Lewis. I also carpooled with Morgan Kelley for many years and appreciated all of his animated stories. I was fortunate to have worked with a successful team of colleagues I still call friends. As far as what I am doing now? I am continuing to enjoy my wife of over 50 years. I have had a few medi- cal problems, and RE physicians have treated both me and my wife over the years; we are receiving some care now by my former students, too. I still enjoy camping and have had several trips, vegetable gardening (and battling an iguana for my harvest), fishing and spending time with family and friends.
