SPRING 2022 Ransom Everglades LOG 61 three-time Academic All-American and 2021 Mideast Regional Field Athlete of the Year, and holds four track and field school records at Hopkins. Aliza Perez is completing her third year of medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Ivy McWilliams , see David McWilliams, In Loving Memory Rachel Coronell Uribe was elected as the Harvard Crimson’s first Latina presi- dent in the student newspaper’s nearly 150-year history. She oversees a storied publication founded in 1873 and whose alumni include Franklin D. Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy and journalist Linda Greenhouse. She has worked for the paper as a reporter on issues including police accountability and was elected to the “49th Guard” after a rigorous selection process known as the “Turkey Shoot.” See her column on page 22. Questions varied from “How has speech and debate helped you in college?” to “What was your most embarrassing moment at a tournament?” to “What advice would you give your ninth-grade self?” If alumni are interested ...
