RE Log Spring 2022
50 Ransom Everglades LOG SPRING 2022 Rosie Prohias Driscoll writes, “I’m ex- cited for the debut of my first full-length poetry collection, Poised for Flight , forth- coming in August 2022 from Finishing Line Press with a back cover endorse- ment by poet laureate Richard Blanco. It is a memoir-in-verse that explores family and identity, loss and renewal, grief and grace. In November 2021, I read one of the poems in the collection, “Havana 1974,” on the Latinx Lit Audio Mag podcast and was interviewed by host Teresa Douglas about the story behind the poem: www.latinxlitmag.com. I’m also thrilled to be back in the classroom after a 23-year hiatus teaching English at Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, Va., where I get to talk about poetry every day. I was happy to see Lissette Suarez Stancioff and Cristi Mendoza Edmunds in Miami last summer!
