Come join us at Monty’s. You’ll enjoy a relaxing evening on Biscayne Bay with folks who genuinely want to see you again. “I’m also thrilled to be part of Roxi Vadia Morgenstern’s effort to orga- nize an Everglades Steering Committee to create programming, collect oral histories, gather archive materials and much more. Contact Maggie Pearson ’80 ( mpearson@ransomeverglades.org ) in the alumni office if you’d like to help in any way. There is loads of work to be done! We may have to reprise the Egret and Ibis awards to see which ‘team’ helps us reach our goals the fastest. “Last, my gang of happy, vac- cinated travelers has been on the road again between pandemic surges. Owen, Charlotte and I made trips to Sweden to catch up with Sophia who is studying at the Stockholm School of Economics. In spring, we’ll travel to check in on her at the University of Madrid (and Steve Hughes ’76 ) before FINALLY returning to Barcelona to hug friends we have not seen since 2019. Owen is a high school junior at Kimball Union Academy in New Hampshire, and Charlotte is a junior at St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes School in the D.C. area, so more travels ahead as we begin the two-kid college search pro- cess with professional college planning help from Kate Sullivan Lindseth ’75 and excellent road trip adventures to be provided by Kate Shaw Patterson ’83, Scott Shaw ’78 and Tom Shaw ’79. Mixtapes welcome! “Our all-female, COVID-19-inspired game business EscapeNoticeGames.com started by my two girls and brother Scott Shaw’s two girls continues to grow and expand, extending that entrepreneurial spirit to another generation.” Allison “Bonnie” Spear writes, “Happily living and working in the Hudson River Valley on Obercreek Farm in Hughsonville, N.Y. (1.5 hours from New York City). The property has been in my husband Alex Reese’s family since its inception, 1850 or so. Instead of a typical development, we have created a farm-based community, including an organic vegetable farm and CSA, micro- brewery – Obercreek Brewing Company, apple orchards and a series of new and renovated homes and sites (mostly sold), on our designated surrounding farmland – some designed by yours truly!” See photo below.
