Trading sandy beaches and hours collecting shells for the wilder turbulence of the rocky NW coast, I am drawn to the same life force of the deep blue oceans and open expanse of the seas, the same tidal mysteries and mix of quiet calmness and crashing waves. “I am temporarily renting a house in Bellingham with plans to buy a single- level condo as soon as possible. I will continue to enjoy hiking and hope to re- sume dancing once the pandemic shifts. I also anticipate visiting several of our classmates who live in the San Francisco Bay Area! And I trust you all will get in touch if you are ever near Bellingham! What fond memories I have of our wonderful classmates. Life has been grand. Now retired from prac- ticing law, which I loved. Approaching the 43rd anniversary of marriage with my dear fellow Duke classmate, Chuck Throckmorton. My two sons, Charlie ’04 and Mike ’07 , are well married and are great husbands and fathers. In retire- ment, I have been writing, doing some volunteer work, studying history and French, singing – just for fun. And walk- ing! I covered 13.1 miles in the Miami Marathon on February 6.
