Little Inklings 2020-21

30 When the music is turned up, we all disagree on what to listen to. My mom usually wants to listen to CNN, Billy Joel or Jason Mraz. My sister and I always want BPM or Hits1. We all make fun of my Dad?s music choices. This is when he gives up and sticks an earpod in one ear and turns on a podcast. At this point, my sister and I build our blanket barricade. We rig the ends of blankets in the windows and tie the other ends around the backs of the front seats for privacy. Then, our candy stash comes out. My sister likes the big sour patch kids- especially the blue ones. I usually eat around them. Towards the end of the trip, the bag is exclusively blue raspberry sour patch. I?m partial to SweetTarts. While nothing beats a good road trip, I still can?t wait for the pandemic to be over and to get on a plane again.
